Surprisingly I really enjoyed this book. I think I could relate to the characters Emma and Will, who had been hurt before in love and were trying to protect themselves by being tough and keeping people at arm's length. The ending was predictable but the twists and turns along the way actually caused tears in my eyes (or maybe I was just spelling onions LOL) - maybe because I could relate to it so much - there have been times where you wonder if something will happen with someone and then it doesn't and you realise there wasn't anything to start with and you feel a fool for thinking their might have been and that you might have finally got the love you feel you actually deserve. I really easy read at the end of a tough day - definitely material for relaxing :-) This has been sitting on my Kindle for a while. I picked it up free awhile ago, knowing it was the source material for a Lifetime Christmas movie, a movie I only watched because of my love of Kristin Chenoweth. I didn't hate it. In fact, I liked the voice. It was a fairly standard romance novel. I guess I just wanted a little more. I wanted everyone to have to work a little harder for the romance. I wanted some of the past to come back up in more ways than just explanations. As it is, it's a light piece of fluff. Not necessarily horrible for for that by any means.
Fun read. I have never seen the movie, but after reading this one I would like to find it.
