UNBELIEVEABLE, BUT A PAGE TURNERTurner Colson is a man mountain at around 7' tall and weighing in at 300lbs. He's a member of an MC, he never ever speaks to anyone, his choice. Without giving too much away, he sees Georgia Pine at his MC's clubhouse and immediately decides she's for him. Georgia is a lawyer, her father is also a lawyer and is affiliated to the club.Turner kidnaps Georgia, of course she's furious. But Turner is determined to keep her. Permanently! She apparently is the only person he is prepared to speak to. As the story moves along it becomes more and more outrageous. Turner is a millionaire and has a whole arsenal of gadgets including a talking computer in his RV. It's all very James Bond-ish. There are so many laugh out loud moments in this, the two lead characters are almost like a double act.First read for me by this author, did I like it, well it made me laugh a lot. It was certainly different. I debated between 3 and 4 stars but plumped for 4 in the end, mainly for the entertainment value. Enjoyed the first book, and aspects of this one. I'm pretty good at overlooking some foolishness, if I like the general story and characters, enough. However, the extreme threat of brutality from Turner, even towards his lover (and potential baby) put this book in a category I was uncomfortable with. I lost any sympathy for either H or h at that point. When that happens how can you enjoy their love story? I couldn't.
What do You think about Daunting Turns (2012)?
Lots of typos. good story premise. just needs a bit more development then it could be great.
