My chores kept me busy, and the memory of the warm bath with Turner kissing me so sweetly kept me company.The sun set through the trees with a hint of orange caressing the faded blue sky. I walked down to the river to brush my teeth and wash my face. Turner was sweet enough to buy me a bottle of lotion. The alpine desert is just as dry as the regular desert, just colder.The temperatures have been perfect during the day, but the early mornings and nights are cold. The fire has nice hot coals now so it’s easy to keep the immediate area around camp warm enough. Walking off to pee or take a shit can be annoying. You learn to not drink too many fluids before bed.As soon as the sun was done with his show I poured a glass of wine and went to sit in the area I have cleared in the dirt for writing. I usually do this when Turner is gone, then wipe it clean when he comes back, but tonight I doubt he’ll even notice.He’s across the fire carving something with his smaller knife and a large piece of wood.
