Deadly Lovers (The Prussia Series) - Plot & Excerpts
I threw open the door and hit the light switch. Scanning the room quickly, I located my soft brown leather suitcase and began tossing things in as quickly as I could. I had packed so many times like this that I didn’t hesitate on what I would and wouldn’t take. The night dress, a few under things, a couple of dresses, and I was done. I slammed the suitcase closed and latched it. I pulled the light suitcase off my bed and snatched my purse from the night table. If my purse wanted to dump all over the floor this time I wasn’t going to stick around to pick up the pieces. I would leave them. But my purse didn’t fall apart. And just as quickly as I had entered the room I left it, hitting the switch and pulling the door behind me swiftly as I began walking down the hall towards the front door of the Castle. But I didn’t get far. “Princess Prussia,” I heard an official sounding voice, male, bellow down the hall at my back. I cringed at the sound of my name.
