This was a free download from Amazon Kindle, and I enjoyed it very much. I have to say, these authors can definitely tell a tale. Very imaginative, good characters, interesting plot and resolutions. It kept my interest and gave food for thought, covering everything from religion to greed and power to zombie-like happenings to romance. After the story took hold at the beginning at an archeological site, it quickly morphed into supernatural, unexplainable events, then picked up speed through a nail-biting flight with a non-licensed pilot and near crashes through a hurricane to fighting to the death with people who couldn't die. Whew! I told you they could tell a tale!I hemmed and hawed over whether to give this 3 or 4 stars, and would actually like to give it 3.5 stars. Good entertainment and well written. My first free promotional Kindle E-Book for my Android smart phone. This was a nice fast-moving light read, although I'm not a big fan of stories that include a healthy dose of science fiction. Florida setting as legends of the Fountain of Youth and a dispute about the exploits and discoveries of Spanish & French explorers blends in with a kidnapping and murder mystery. If you need a happy distraction for the beach or to clandestinely read during a boring seminar, this is it.
What do You think about Death In The Beginning (2000)?
Unlike anything I've read before! Kept my attention, in no way believable but fun to ponder.
