The book, A Death Struck Year, was amazingly suspenseful and intriguing. It kept me on the edge of my seat and never failed to pull me into the story every time I opened the book. The characters were brilliantly described and I had a good time learning about their individual lives as if they were my own friends. Cleo, the main character, was easy to connect with, as she was a rebellious teenage girl. I found myself concerned for her wellbeing and it was hard to predict what she would be doing next, with all that was going on during the time. People were dying left and right, so I was never sure who would be next. It was overall a great book with lots of suspenseful turns in the plot. 10/10 would recommend. I LOVED THIS BOOK.Honestly, it was one of the best reads ever.Cleo:I loved Cleo. She was a real person, worried about where she belonged in this world. Completley relatable.Edmund:OHMIGOD. Okay, he's like the sum of everything perfect, all rolled up into one super adorable soldier who is also a doctor.General:I would read this book again in a heartbeat and want the author to write many, many more books. AND SOOOOOOOON!!!!!!

A novel heavy on setting and weak on story.
