I read this one along with the first book. They both were just OK for me. The story line did keep me interested. I liked the action. What I didn't like was how much of this series seems to be borrowed from other books and even the tv series; The Walking Dead. Let's see....it contains a farmhouse (The Walking Dead) a prison (The Walking Dead) Fuller (reminds me of a good version of the Governor) I will still probably read the 3rd book just to see what happens to Orissa. Another amazing zombie novel! I love the characters in this series and the development of them all. Huge suspense at the end of the book, making me scream for the next one! Again just minor grammar issues with the book, and I did find it a little repetitive at times. I love how the author doesn't just focus on one problem eg zombies, surviving. She focuses on all the relevant issues in a ZA, including how mad people become when separated from others and technology, simple everyday things like food and clean water that's hard to come across, flu and infection, and basic survival instincts that are long forgotten thanks to today's technology. An amazing read for zombie/apocalyptic lovers! A definite recommendation!
