Debt Free For Life: The Finish Rich Plan For Financial Freedom (2010) - Plot & Excerpts
This is a useful book for those who want to get out of debt. The level of self-promotion by the author, including frequent testimonials was somewhat over done. There are lots of resources that have been provided in the book and some sound advice about getting the right help when you find yourself underwater with debt. The discipline and processes spelled out here are very useful for anyone who is starting to get over their head financially. Happy New Years! It it time to take action on my New Years resolution and this book was a great step in the right direction. I have never read any previous books written by David Bach nor have I seen him on any television programs. In this book he does reference his other books and television appearances quite a bit but they are not necessary to have read before this. I found the way that Bach broke down the book into sections very helpful. He first goes over debt and how to manage it generally. He then goes into his suggested methods of debt management (the DOLP method). In later chapters he goes into specific detail on credit cards, credit scores, mortgages, student loans, time-barred debt, credit counseling, bankruptcy, and finding lost money. I have started using the methods he suggested and already feel in much better control of my finances.
