I am not one to read books written in first person. Having enjoyed the Kanner Lake series by Brandilyn, I trusted her enough to give this book a try. It was one of the best books I have ever read. Not only is it in first person, but it switches between first and third as she jumps from present day to past. It is an excellent written work with a surprising twist. Excitement all the way through. Give it a try, whether you like first person narratives or not. Brandilyn never disappoints! Brandilyn Collins has become my top favorite author. Her books just get better and better! When I read a book, I really hate knowing what's going to happen before I read it. If I know within the first chapter or two how the story is going to end, forget it. It's most likely not worth my time reading (but to be fair, the journey can be fun fun sometimes, even knowing the turnout!). So many Christian authors have such great stories in their imagination, but just fall short on delivery. NOT BRANDILYN COLLINS!! Not only can she deliver a story handsomely, but she takes you on such a ride that each turn is a surprise! I love that, truly! This book, Deceit, certainly was NOT a disappointment! Thank you, Brandilyn!!
What do You think about Deceit (2010)?
This was the 1st book that I read by Brandilyn Collins and I look forward to reading others.
