Deceptive Innocence, Part Three (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
This final 100 page chapter of the book, third in the series, is the most dynamic of all. Bell has struggled so far and so hard to destroy the family that killed her mother. The end of book two left her in trouble with the local gangsters, and their desire to protect the family. Can Bell survive her revenge, can she put the pieces of her plan back together to have the final product of destroying the wealthy family without forfeiting her life to her gangster neighbors. Worse of all she has come to admit she loves Lander, the youngest son of this deadly family. How will she balance her revenge, her love, and her life? I liked this one with all it's righteous indignation. I like that Bell wants her revenge, I even like that she is starting to be torn, that Lander is now in a murky area and that she might have fallen for him. I find Jessica to be a train wreck, but sort of agree with Bell, she doesn't deserve what Travis does to her, but she deserves some sort of punishment. What I'm not sure about is the turn the story has taken at the end. I don't know if I want this ally, they might have been better where they were. I'll have to keep reading to find out, maybe what happens will change my mind one way or the other.
