There's some useful material in this book, but the book is overstuffed with information that just makes the book bloated. The information on learning things quickly is very informative and well organized. Most of the book is just a series of recipes that is not greatly organized. The book would've better if the cooking was closely tied to the meta learning or if more activities were used for the meta learning besides cooking. The theme of the book should have focused on meta learning more. The majority of the book is literally a cookbook. The meat of the actual book is in the first chapter, which is his methodology he has labeled as "meta-learning". He expounds on his DiSSS method on deconstructing a certain skill and learning it in a limited amount of time to proficient and "professional" standards. Other than the first chapter, there is a hodgepodge of anecdotes and skills he breaks down using his own DiSSS method.
Not as great as his other books, too all over the place.
