I loved this book and I can barely explain why. I think it has to do with how tangible the mystery and suspense are, and how great the author builds the story to the point where I'm dying to know how and why. I think of the biggest things I like about this series is the independence the three have in their lives, and the storyline that only builds with each page. Haven has really grown on me as a character, as have Lance and Dante, although Lance really annoyed me at times in this book for some of his, well, questionable choices. I'm really excited for book three in this series, which will no doubt be even better than the previous two. WICKED CLIFF HANGER Oh my gosh, I just finished and if I had a hard copy of this book I'd throw it against a wall. (I'd gotten 'Illuminate' from the library and immediately after I finished I needed to read 'Infatuate' so I bought it eBook)I knew this book would be better than it's prequel mostly because there wouldn't have to be so much explaining as the previous book since we already knew the three main characters and their unique predicament. This novel is also a lot more action packed which I loved, making this not just a prep book for the final installment. Aimee Agresti really does a marvelous job balancing the current plot, the background story, and Haven's budding romance. These three, well thought out parts to the Gilded Wings trilogy make me so enthusiastic since they are what I look for in new books; what I thoroughly enjoy. I'm very happy I've found this series. For a debut in YA fiction, these books are quite excellent.

Nice plot, not my favorite book ever, but a good read.
