This was my first Nicole Jordan novel and when I read the summary about a lonely widow, notorious rake, and a bit of a ghost mystery. I thought this story could have potential and was loving the idea of the plot somehow when i was 1/8 into the novels the plot starts to go down and I got bored . Tess the main character in the novels is the most bratty , ungrateful and annoying heroine I have ever read!!!! I kept expecting the husband would happily move on with his life and find his own happiness for I pity the heroin the story to be paired with heroine acting as a child being highly annoying and acting bratty like a five year old child . It was a gruesome and an antagonizing read , I have heard from friends that Jordan is a good writer but after reading several chapters into this book I was highly disappointed . I've really enjoyed all of Nicole Jordan's Courtship Wars series and this one has been no exception - all along I've been itching to know what happens with Tess - and of course the burning question on Fanny's fate needed to be resolved!Tess Blanchard as decided she needs to stop mourning her fiancee, who was killed at Waterloo 2 years previously, and move on with her life. She certainly does move on when she is discovered in a passionate embrace with Ian, her former fiancee's cousin and a duke to boot. Of course, there's no help now for Tess's reputation but to marry him.....This happens fairly early on so the majority of the book is Tess and Ian trying to resolve their feelings for each other. Along the way we have Fanny & Basil's romance, a supposedly haunted Cornish castle, a smuggling gang and plenty of revelations and romance!
What do You think about Desear A Un Duque (2012)?
I love all of Nicole Jordan's books. However, I didn't like the plot in this one.

Insipid heroine. Predictable. Could not finish.
