This book didn't really hit it off with me. I bought it cause of the good reviews and I've pretty much learned my lesson with that. I didn't feel any real development between the heroine, Sabine, and the hero, Max. Their relationship was mostly based on superficial aspects, such as beauty and sexual attraction. Throughout the book, they just basically went on a treasure hunt for clues to find a weapon in order to kill the enemy. The plot was unique but it didn't pull me in. I had to force myself to finish it because I never leave a book unfinished. If you like a lot of sex that don't hold much meaning (in most of the book) and some mystery tossed in, this is the book for you. Second in a series of quick and highly enjoyable books.Maxwell Barrett is a member of the treasure hunting society, Solomon's. He earned his membership by finding a map of the lost island of Atlantis. But now Sabine Tobias, a descendant of Atlantis, needs the map so that she can read the prophecy contained there. They get caught up working against another descendant of Atlantis who is determined to take down England and to do that, he needs to kill several high placed generals as well as the three Guardians, one of whom is Sabine's aunt.
