I was fortunate enough to win a copy of this in a competition.Thoroughly enjoyed this story, looking forward to reading the next in the series (good job I won a copy of that as well, lol).Mmmmmmmm gotta love me a bit of Jaxon or Cade. The book had a number of situations that were dealt with sensitively. Like some other books, you weren't left banging your head against a wall when Loralei found herself in some of the predicaments, as the progression was transparent and you could fully understand her reasoning for the decisions she made. Now, first of all, I call this a short story when it is about the size of a Sookie Stackhouse book from Charlaine Harris, and to me, that is a short story. I really liked this book and have already moved on to the Cade story. A few things I noted while reading this book:-characters are bursting with personality, really made me feel like I knew them in real life..they could be the guy or gal down the road, this was particularly impressive from such a short story. I feel like this is something often lacking in short novels.-I loved all the cute and hilarious comments from the kids and from the minds of the characters-the family relationships also felt very real to me (typical pushy mom who wants you to get married and be happy with a man)-really nailed the small-town feel! I come from a small town similar to this and boy was she spot on!-I know some people have commented that there was a lot of repeating with the back and forth character perspectives of different scenarios, but I loved it! I don't know how many times I have been reading a book and thought "well, I wonder what SHE thought of that!?" or something along those lines, and while there was some overlap of story necessary for the back and forth, it did not feel excessive. So, I think this was a great funny, emotional, sexy, happy and just plain awesome book with a twist that caught me out of nowhere! Thanks for a great read!
What do You think about Destined To Change (2013)?
Wow. I've never wanted a couple to succeed so badly. Great book.
