It's hard to say, but I think I might have liked this book better than the first. I mean, I love all the characters, and their uniqueness. But there's just something about Jordan that's just more admirable about her. Sasha has her good qualities about here, don't get me wrong, but there's something there that's lacking. I can't put my finger on it. But besides that, I loved how this book took on a whole new story to it. While it was similar with the plot of the first book, with one of the Mephisto is looking for their Anabo and trying to win them over. What I like most was that there was so much more to this sequel than the first. There was more action. More everything. I cannot even think of how to write it out. It's just something one has to find out for themselves. Because it is definitely worth it. While this book was still as completely ridiculous as Mephisto Covenant, perhaps even more so, it was fun.Sometimes it's great to just read something totally ridiculous.I though overall Kiss was better than Covenant, despite my affection for Jax. The characters seemed to have been made a little less one dimensional and the conflict of choosing life with the Mephisto was much harder for Jordan than it was for Sasha.I'm actually interested in the next books to see how Phoenix turns out, as well as finding out more about the other brothers. Ty, Denys, and Zee tend to remain unknown and undeveloped aside from basic presence at role call type sections.
