I saw the movie first, and loved it! I had to watch it subtitled though since I couldn't understand it some of the words. Glad to see a fellow Aussie Pinoy doing a great job in his first acting gig.. This book is mostly in Tagalog which I had a hard time to read, I understand Tagalog fluently but when you add a lot of tagolog slang in it- basically I needed to get used to it. It doesn't really read like how a book normally would, but nonetheless twas a pretty entertaining read.. Just to reiterate, I like the book and the series because of the plot, the humor, and the simplicity of ot all. You can criticize it all you want for its grammatical errors and whatnot, but that still won't stop me from saying I enjoyed reading this book. If you want a light-hearted, telenovela-like book where you don't have to think too much, or a story where you'd rather just sit back and watch how things unfold, this books is for you. Good points: humor, developing main characters, cliche setting with not so cliche storyline (unlike the usual telenovela), and cuteness.
