Tina St. John pseudonym Lara Adrian. Wow! White Lion's Lady delivers a fast paced page burner guaranteed to keep you up into the wee hours reading. You just "can't or won't" put this book down. Lara, err Tina, kind of hard believing this is the same lady who wrote the Midnight Breed series (phenomenal series by the way)but she proved she knows how to weave a tale of damsels in distress and an OMG mouth watering Alpha Knight. Loved the main characters, very well balanced, suited and chemistry exploded between them and believe me, you can feel it. Time premise is medieval times during King Richard's reign while he was away on crusades and havoc was playing out back home. Story was easy to follow which again shows how wonderful a writer Tina (Lara) is. It's easy to picture the story unfolding like watching a movie unfolding in your head and easy to envision scenes, places and emotions, especially the emotions between the characters. A definite must read if you enjoy medieval romances. Great start to a series. I'm a little confused about whether this is Book 1 or Book 2. I thought this was Book 1. Lara Adrian is immensely talented and I love her midnight series. This book had a lot of action taking place, but the story was slow for me. There was a lot of isolation and a series of attacks after the escape. This world is definitely scary even without vampires. I missed the strong women from the midnight series and how each of them had their own special skill. In "White Lion's Lady," Isabelle hoped to end her family's separation and reunite with her younger sister once she is married. She's strong and her love for Griffin is even stronger.
