Then she auctions her virginity to the peerage for $! She's quite blatant on using her charms to get what she wants. But as the story unfolds glimpses of the real Madeline surfaces & I quickly came to like her as the heroine. I'd actually put the book down the 1st time after reading the 1st few pgs but stuck thru it the 2nd time around & quickly got into the story & the characters (didn't want to put it down after a while too). Another winner from Anna Randol.Oh - the hero who is a Bow Street Runner is quite yummy too! :) Love the cover....
