Wax pooled at the base of the holder making it look like a tiny volcano had erupted. The hardened red wax resembled lava that had cooled itself into wavy puddles. Sighing, Lily laid down, curling herself into a little ball. She was exhausted from the day and desired sleep. Just as she closed her eyes, she heard a noise from outside the trap door. She swore she heard someone coming up the ladder, but after listening for a moment; she shook off her paranoia and closed her eyes again. BANG! Lily’s eyes flew open.
