Mr. Bud had a perfectly ordered life where "everything was just right" until the day the humans brought home Zorro. Things do not go well...at first. Zorro hoards toys and Mr. Bud is grumpy about having another dog thrust upon him. Until the day they realized that they both had the same schedule...and all of the activities were better with a buddy. The illustrations are filled with humor and the text is perfect for reading aloud. Mister Bud, the dog, has a pretty sweet life. He had a schedule, and he kept to it: 1. wake up time 2. biscuit, then walk time 3. nap time 4. shift-position-and-nap-some-more time you get the picture. One day, his rigid schedule is interrupted by a new addition to the family: a pint- sized bossy dog named Zorro. There was trouble from the start. But then...Mister Bud and Zorro eventually discovered it was more fun to do things together. A great book about flexibility and friendship. What do You think about Dis Bonjour à Zorro ! (2013)?
Just enough of a story to justify the keenly observed illustrations.
