In Cleland’s mystery novel, antiques dealer Josie Prescott is positive when a wealthy client is shot dead after purchasing a specific doll collection, that the financial advisor was the victim of revenge. When her employee, Eric, is abducted while transporting some of the dolls, she realizes the collection is not quite what it appears to be. With the media hot on her trail, it becomes clear the dolls are part of an ugly estate battle. To resolve the situation, Josie must rely on her expertise and negotiating skills to help the authorities save Eric and the only way she can do that is to risk everything before the murderer strikes again.A fast-paced addition to the A Josie Prescott Antiques Mystery. This was an interesting trip into the world of dolls. I enjoyed hearing about the Chatty Cathy doll. The story is not very psychological, as Josie does not seem too upset when a friend is killed in front of her, and when an employee is kidnapped. The story is told on a one-dimensional level, and emotions are absent. The history of antiques and various other collectibles delves into intricate explanation. I enjoy Cleland's books as a light reading venture.
What do You think about Dolled Up For Murder (2012)?
This series has become slightly more boring with each book. I doubt I will read anymore.
