Meh. Honours students take The Evening Class with convicted murderer, who starts them off "unraveling a literary mystery" which wasn't much of a mystery, really, or all that terribly compelling or interesting. Book jumps between 1994 and Present Day, with students dealing with the aftermath of The Evening Class. It was readable enough, but I got very tired of the whole "But remember what we did in Idaho!" schtick very quickly-- about 1/2 way through the book I was sick to death of it and still didn't know what they did in Idaho or why it mattered (found out about 85% through the book and was underwhelmed). On the whole, it was OK as light bedtime reading. The books moves from a college-course for nine students in the basement on a Jasper Campus. This literary course is taught by convicted murdered Literary Professor Richard Aldiss by live video from his prison cell. It is a course where students such at Alex Shipley, unravels a mystery and sucessfully sets him free. It then moves to years later, where Alex and the nine students are brought back to their college to solve the final mysteries.It flips from past to present day which I'm not a fan of but it was well written and had me turning the pages late into the night! It's a book of who-done-it, How an Why and will she survive to the end!
