Done Being Friends - Plot & Excerpts

Faith knew that George saw her wounds and wanted to ask what happened, but Zac had shook his head slightly, indicating to George to let the matter drop. Quietly, George handed the bag of clothes over to Zac and left, knowing that Zac would take care of Faith.  “Here you go.” Faith handed Zac his shirt.  Taking it, he stuck his hands in and buttoned up his shirt. Again, Faith helped him button up the sleeves. “I like you to do that.”
Faith looked up from his hand. “Do what? This?” She lifted his hand as she spoke.  “Yes. Can you do that for me every day?”
She laughed at his asinine question. “Did you catch a cold while I had your shirt?”
Lunch went by in a breeze. Zac had ordered take out and they had lunch in the office, with Zac looking through some information, and explaining to Faith all that she didn’t understand, and telling her the things that she needed to inform the different departments to handle.  After settling the work, they left for one of the sites of the current project.
