Don't Let The Republican Drive The Bus! (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
This book was horribly offensive to me and I'm not even a Republican. It is labeled as a satire but the jabs are not cleverly disguised at all. It's really just an attack on the Republican party, which is fine by me(political parties attack each other every day). The thing I had a problem with was the fact that the title and cover makes you think you're about to read something clever and all you get is something childish and stupid. I have never been a fan of the book this is based off of - I don't hate it, but it didn't appeal to me as much as it did many other readers of the book. This book is a direct take-off on that book and thus, some of the humor, though funny, didn't hit my "hilarious" meter. I am a "flaming liberal", so the political slant of the book was fine with me - and rings true. I doubt if it will convince many people, but it does bring some much needed comic relief.

UMMMM, really offensive and I'm the target audience. I would NEVER read this to my child.
