This was better than I expected. In the previous two books in the series, we don't see Percy and Dorinda ever together, so to come together quickly always seems rather difficult to pull off in these novellas. But I found it believable and cute and an enjoyable fast read. My only issue would be just how quickly everything did happen - in the course of 12 hours! And I do mean everything, from desire, to the rebuff, to confessing undying love, to sex, to the big misunderstanding and finally the ultimate realization how how much they love each other. I think a few days would have worked a bit better, but still cute! Dorinda, Dorinda, what a name! This super quickie novella (if it could even be considered such), only 4 chapters long is set shortly thereafter the events of the Book Two in the Duke's Men series with Lisette, Duchess of Lyons doing a little bit of matchmaking. She's decided to matchmake her impoverished cousin and newly widowed Dorinda with the up and coming doctor, Dr. Worth, the very man who cured Victor (from Books One and Two). Not really feeling the forced matchmaking, Dr. Worth comes up with a plan to show once and for all Lisette needs to butt out. We know that Percy and Dorinda will end up together, but the twist is that Percy always liked Dorinda and his whole "let's have dinner with the Duchess then have a row" is all a big act to spend time with her. Dorinda is attracted to Percy no doubt, but doesn't want to ever get married again mainly because she thinks she's barren and a man would only want a woman for her womb (yay a woman who doesn't want to get married, but needs convincing from the hero!). He needs to do all he can to convince her they match and that she belongs with him and deserve a life together. There's a very short conflict, but quick banter make up for it. This is super super super short (it ends around 64% followed by a preview of the next book) not a whole of room for character development and depth, but for a quickie that it is it's cute. I do hope we get an update about them in later novels. 3.5/5 not for quality but brevity
