This was a good read. It gave good insight into why Dax joined the MC. It is horrific what parents can do to their children. It is a pity that the system is sometimes full of people who are apathetic towards these abused children and that they fall through the cracks as a result. Every child has the potential as Dax showed here, but no one cared enough to break through his protective barrier. Not even his girlfriend. It breaks my heart.This story was very well written. And I am looking forward to read more about Dax. Normally I will not follow series, but in this case I will make an exception. This was a nice start to a new series for me. Dax had a rough childhood and to see how Trish came into his life and their obstacles was great. It was nice too see that Dax wasn't always so sure of himself and how he came to be the man he is now. I loved how the book started out with Dax childhood leading up to Satin and Steel. I can't wait for the next book. Loved it! Dax is definitely an alpha male.
Ok...this prequel was extremely SOA... I loved it...now finding the others to keep reading... lol
