My mother recommended that I read this book after she described it as "the best book she had ever read." My mom and I have the same tastes when it comes to books, which is why I felt disappointed. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad story. I just felt it was extremely predictable. I also found Jennifer to be too soft for my liking. So although I recommend giving this a read if you want to be entertained, there really is nothing new and exciting to be found in The Last Letter From my Lover. I enjoyed the mystery of the story and the anticipation of what was coming next. The story moved a bit slow because of the segmentation of it into different parts."Done is better than perfect." I have tried to embrace this motto and let go of unattainable standards. Aiming for perfection causes frustration at best and paralysis at worst. This library's like the Tardis: things keep turning up out of nowhere.
Jojo Loyes is just a terrific writer. This book (and every other one I have ever read) is terrific.

Quite possibly the best book I read this year. Loved it... will read it over and over.
