El Carrusel De Las Sombras Y Los Ninos Espantosos (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
I love this book, as I knew I would, because I've loved the work of Katy Towell since I first stumbled across her. Skary Childrin and the Carousel of Sorrow is her first actual book, but available on her website is a great deal of her artwork - drawings, and short animated films of a rather dark nature (not for children!) This book, however, IS for children - but don't let that stop you from reading and enjoying it, too. I loved, loved this book. I will put this into the hands of many readers at the library. It is smart, cool, and just peculiar enough to to reach those hard to reach readers! It reminded me a touch of Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes. Recommended for lovers of The Series of Unfortunate Events, and Mary Rose Wood's stories. Here's hoping for many more titles from Towell, and I love the illustrations as well!
What do You think about El Carrusel De Las Sombras Y Los Ninos Espantosos (2012)?
I've always loved Towell's style and this book is no different to her animation shorts.
