Even though we know this trilogy is universally loved by everyone, I have to admit that this first book wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be. I really liked the novel but I think the author should've make the feminine character a bit more... strong? Like, he made her seem like she was a little poor animal that is weak and needs shelter and protection. I mean, really? Do anybody even realized that they were OBSSESED with Grace? Even if she was a figure that represent love, shelter, care, sweetness and attention, she was just a caring human being, a good mother and a great person, NOT A HEROINE! SHE IS NOT A GODDESS for God's sake! Everything relies on what she would've think, how she would've react, etc. It was really annoying! Nevertheless, I enjoyed the romance between both principal characters although I think the first book should've have LESS pages. I mean, 500 pages and it was the first book? Nuh-uh. No way boy, next time reduce your word count and make it more intense.

What do You think about El Infierno De Gabriel (2013)?

This book was a surprise to me. I thought it would be a straight-up romance, but it's not. Steeped in The Divine Comedy, the story of Dante & Beatrice, God and Italian art, this first book of the Gabriel trilogy introduces us to Professor Gabriel Emerson and master's student Julia Mitchell. Julia has a secret and she's a little bit broken. Professor Emerson is a sinner who keeps having strong reactions to the shy student that make him bewildered and frightened. I can't say more about the plot, but the story is filled with lyrical verses, music, and lessons about redemption. I will not tell you how many times I've re-read it!

well ... I have never read a book like this before . It was so long ... I loved the story but I´m not going to read the second book. And I dont see any similarities with the 50 shades of gray, as some are referring. This book seems more spiritual than anything else. There is two things I did not like in this book 1. The book seemed to never end. and 2. Julia was acting like biopolar in the lecture. I do not like meek heroines may-be that was my problem when I read this. I apologise for any typos :) english is not my first language. ;)
