This was a very entertaining book with a good story and good characters wrapped up in a quick read. There are enough plot hints in the other reviews for you to get a really good idea what the story is about. I was skeptical about Elvis still alive and working as a P.I. in California. He first appeared in another of J.R. Rain's series, Vampire for Hire, and this Aaron King (Elvis) character and it really caught my interest. I got what I expected from this author, as usual, and really enjoyed the read. Definitely recommend! Having met Elvis a few times as a child, (my older sister was a stand in for Hope Lang in Wild in the Country) .. I could really see something like this unfold as he fought who he was and who is now - and still be the same humble man who ate ham hocks and beans with cornbread in my family's kitchen. This book made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me wish with all my heart that it could be true. If you have seen Lisa Marie's duets with her father on YouTube, esp Don't Cry Daddy and In the Ghetto - you would understand what an incredible pair they (would) make. I really hope JR Rain continues with the series - as always a great read!
I really enjoy Mr. Rain's writing, and this one was a really fun read. Well worth picking up!
