This is a medical thriller. Jill is a medical student at a prestigious hospital in their OB department. She is dating/sleeping with her immediate supervisor David. Several women lose their babies or their own lives in very unusual circumstances. She and the head of the OB Department are always butting heads. She begins to believe something unethical is going on when a young woman insists the hospital owes her an abortion, because when she went to their free clinic she was not pregnant, and afterwards she was. The woman is found dead, still pregnant, but all the amniotic fluid is missing from her uterus. David tells her to give up her research into the strange goings on when she is attacked. By the end of the book, both her career and her life are at stake. What is really going on? Who can she trust? How can she get the info she needs, expose whatever is going on, and not cost David his career? The book is fast paced and a real page turner. Anyone that loves to read medical thriller/mystery will be on edge thru out this book. This kept me reading and guessing. A little bit of romance in the twist. Course the first time I have to make a doctor appointment or have to go to the ER will have me on edge and really paying attention. This would make an interesting movie. An on the edge of your seat movie. Can't wait to read the others.
What do You think about EMBRYO [Kindle Edition] (2000)?
I liked the book though I did suspect our young hero for a while. The concept is challenging.
