Endless Summer The Boys Next Door And Endless Summer (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Man, what a way to screw a storyline.I don't even know who Adam is anymore. He was always playing games, being mean, thinking Lori was a dumb blond, jealous of Lori's shadow, insecure, clingy...I mean, come on...I thought the book would show the development of their relationship but what is this? I can't even. And Lori...God, why was she so hell-bent on going out with each and every guy that crossed her path? They were so hurtful to one another that I actually just want them to give up.I think I saw some meaning to it all when Lori and France had a heart-to-heart but no, it wasn't enough, everything was simply wrong. I LOVED the first novel, "The Boys Next Door" and it has stuck with me since I was a pre-teen. The story was cute, full of unrequited love, and perfect for a summer read! The story keeps you wanting more from the main characters, although the girl was aggravating at times for being so indecisive of who to like.I disliked the second novel, "Endless Summer" because there was just too much drama and it made me feel stressed and angry most of the time. I didn't like how it kind of ruined their sweet teenage love by making it compicated. But then again, teen love is pretty messy.

really cute! Good summer read. (I only read the first book, can't comment on the second)

Loved the story but got a little annoyed with the childish characters at some points.
