I thought this book had a writing style of keeping you guessing what had happened in the past, until I realized it was a sequel and I hadn't read the first book. Whoops. Interesting story of Mormons in Wyoming dealing with prejudice. The main reason I only gave this book 2 stars was because it felt like every page talked about how much the engaged couple, then newlyweds wanted to have sex. I just got tired of reading about how much they wanted each other, and talked about wanting each other even in front of other people, over and over and over. I don't usually read romances, but read this series because it is targeted for our book club and I really liked another one of hers I was given. She does a good job of researching and including authentic historic detail, such as the kinds of eating and cooking on the frontier and in turn of the 20th C Salt Lake City, travel, ranch life, etc. The romance and the protagonists continue to be engaging in this sequel, where the couple must face the hardships and test of faith that come with frontier living.
What do You think about Enduring Light (2012)?
Aahhh! Great book. Great story, great characters, and very clean. Loved it! I wish there were more.
