Hulk and Kodiak groaned as the rays beat down on them. “Fuck, I’m still drunk,” Hulk slurred. “Me too,” Kodiak grumbled, fighting to get up. “Bed. Dark. Air conditioning.” Hulk grunted, following. The caveman-like dialog wasn’t far from the previous night’s intellect but was all that was needed. Both men arose and hobbled to their room, collapsing on their bed for the rest of the afternoon. Violet hadn’t slept for shit all night. She wanted to go talk to them both, together, but didn’t have the courage to. “Chicken shit much?” she mocked herself in the mirror, doing her best to cover up the dark circles under her eyes. Finally she gave up and threw on a sundress, calling it done. There was only one person who could make her feel better right now, and she just hoped said person wasn’t busy heaving into the toilet and could lend some advice. Alaina answered the door, her hair all in a mess with a lazy grin. “Hey, girl! Come on in.” She held the door open. Violet peeked in, hoping there weren’t two half naked men inside before entering when Alaina giggled.
