I say laughing. “Troy, you’re such an asshole. I had no idea it was going to be so hard to actually drive that thing down the mountain.” I can’t stop laughing and I actually have to bend over, it hurts so badly. “Well…I’m sorry. I’m sorry, just give me a minute.” “Troy!” she snaps and whacks me with a kitchen towel. “Come on, baby, it was funny. Did you really think you were supposed to hit the gas on the way down?” She glares at me and checks our dinner, which is in the oven. I continue slicing vegetables for the salad and try to stop laughing. “Are you done making fun of me?” she asks. I nod my head and somehow hold back the smile. “Good,” she says, setting the table. Then the timer goes off on the oven and she removes the huge pan of lasagna that we made together. “Salad’s ready, let’s eat, babe.” “Jesus, are you that hungry tonight?” “Nope, it’s what’s after the meal I’m excited for.” She smirks at me and serves our plates. “Should I be excited or scared?”
