This book was just plain awful.1. We are just dumped into the story line with no background at all.2. Random information pops up at the weirdest times. 3. Caylee is the most whiny person EVER. I know she went through something terrible but her attitude towards Haden could cause whiplash. 4. Haden flip flops between being completely overbearing and a masochistic pushover. 5. Not that I want to diminish what happened to Caylee in any way...but finding out what happened was a complete letdown. There is very little detail early enough in the story to make you want to continue reading to find out everything. This was a DNF for me. I have another book by the author and will give it a shot but I am putting it off for other books right now. This book had a lot of potential to be a decent read, yet it has many areas that need improvement. I felt confused when I started the book, it felt like I was thrown into a middle of a story with no idea what was going on. I even checked to make sure it was the first book in the series. The next area that needs improvement was the grammar, there were a lot of mistakes that should've been fixed before the book was released. The book moved at such a fast pace that I never felt connected to any of the characters. Also there are scenes that make no sense. The lead female starts making small talk right after finding a murdered woman. That is not how any sane person acts, the main character just irritated me beyond belief. I had to push myself to finish this book. Highly doubtful I'll finish this series, I had hoped with a new twist on demons that I'd enjoy this book more.
This is my second time reading Eternal Breath of Darkeness and I still get drawn in!

Heroine = A.N.N.O.Y.I.N.G.Like, holy sh*t. She is bi-polar to the MAX.
