I know this is a Kindle Single and therefore a short story but I still found myself puzzled when I came to the ending - that's it?! Seems like a plot that should've been fleshed out and made into a full length novel, because it definitely has potential to be interesting and amusing. But in this form it was just...odd. It didn't really go anywhere. I don't read short stories usually (I'm just a Nick Hornby fan and was excited to see this in the Kindle shop) so I'm not sure if it's just because I'm not used to such short books, but it's got to be done better than this, surely?! Una piccola delusione. La storia e l'idea sono carine, ma vengono sviluppate in maniera davvero insoddisfacente. Più che un racconto breve sembra una bozza per un qualcosa di futuro. Non c'è un vero e proprio finale, non c'è una caratterizzazione dei personaggi, che vengono appena presentati (e come si potrebbe in sole 60 pagine...).Insomma, mi ha lasciato un po' sconcertato, a pronunciare, a fine racconto, la classica frase "E quindi?".
