If you like angst then this story is for you. Roughly about 75% of this book is so I don't want to give anything away here at all..This is all about Celeste and Adrian they experience the most passionate kiss outside of a bar that he and his band just played in..She has always felt a pull towards him but unfortunately she was married at the time and Adrian was her deceased husband's cousin. So she is now a widow with three boys yes I said three. There are some who don't want them together as a couple and will do anything to keep them apart this is their biggest struggle if all because Adrian promised his cousin that he would look after Celeste. So when everything is said and done will they be able to forgive others as well as each other in the end? I love stories that can mimic real life situations. This one does just that. I also love that Lynetta was not afraid to tackle what PTSD does to our Heroes. The characters are well written and you can feel the emotions right along with them. Adrian is one of those men who doesn't come along very often, sweet, charming, caring, loving and protective. Not too often do you see men who can love someone else's kids as though they are his own. Plus he is a Marine, who serves without question. Celeste has been manipulated all her life by none other than her family. They have a hold over her that she finally is able to break. She is strong and courageous. And she loves Adrian unconditionally. But getting to that point is an adventure all it's own. Family, and other things continue to get in true loves way, however these two strong individuals stick it out. I recommend this book!!
I wanted to really love this book but for some reason I just could not connect with the characters.

I felt there was potential for many plot lines and it never went anywhere. Okay read.
