I liked the first John Locke book I read and this one started out well, but the experiment part of the plot somehow got lost midway through and then the book became a bit fragmented and episodic with assassinations that seemed to have no relation to the lethal experiment plotline. It did refer back to the experiment thread at the end of the book, but I got the impression there was quite a bit of padding in the book to reach the required length. I did like the book, though, and will read more of John Locke's work. However because of the episodic nature of the last part of the book I can only give it 3 stars. I'm not going to lie...the Donovan Creed series has very little literary value... I felt like I was potentially getting dumber as I read them:)That being said...they are short, entertaining (in that perfectly mindless sort of way...I enjoy a good mindless read occasionally), and best of all, they're only .99 each on the Kindle! Most entertaining $7 I've spent in awhile...and the 7 books lasted me a full week:)

Loved it! Great books for the subway or planes. Quick reads and well written.
