At first I have to say I thought it was a little far fetched but as the story progressed I found myself enjoying the book a lot more than I thought I would. The premise of the book was unique and the writing style was excellent, can't wait to read the second book and continue the journey of the ex librarian and her bad boy gangster. This wasn't an easy read. There was a huge bunch of violence, harshness, Stockholm syndrome and overall meanness involved in it. However, impossible and stubborn love made the day definitely. So even though I've struggled through some of the situations the end was worth it all. Even though I still can't get around the "nicknames" issue Flick seems to love, but Rushe, even though he's been harsh and overall mean sometimes, he has this soft side, this hurt inside of him that I really loved.SO yeah I'm a sucker for big lost boys, I know.
