Falling For The Groomsman (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
I am a big fan of Jen McLaughlin/Diane Alberts, so I couldn't wait to have the chance to read Falling For the Groomsman, which is part of The Wedding Dare Series, and I loved it. True to form Diane Alberts has delivered yet another hot, steamy, captivating, and entertaining romance. Christine Forsythe is at her best friend's wedding, which is filled with a week full of events, and she couldn't be happier for her. Unfortunately, her best friend's older brother, Dr. Tyler Dresco is there also, someone Christine has been trying to avoid for the last 8 years, because of an event that occured in Mexico years earlier, an event that has left them avoiding each other since that time. However, when they both find themselves part of the wedding party, it is impossible to avoid each other any longer, the question is, will both come out unscathed when it's all over. I loved both Christine and Tyler's characters. Christine has a great since of humor, is a bit snarky, and very strong willed. Tyler is hot, as all Diane Albert's leading men are. He is also dominant, has a great sense of humor, and turns out to be quite the hero. The chemistry between the two is sizzling hot, and their dialogue will keep you smilng. The story itself is quite entertaning, and can be read as a stand alone, though the secondary charaters in the book are from the other books in the series. This is one book, and one series, that contemporary romance fans won't want to miss. I loved Falling For the Groomsman and I think you will to. I can't wait to read the other books in the series. This story was adorably hot. I know that doesn’t necessarily make sense, but it’s the best way I can describe it. There were parts that were so adorable and sweet. But then bits that were scorching hot!Falling for the Groomsman is book 1 of the Wedding Dare series. You get to meet the charcters from the series with the concentration on Christine and Tyler. They are such an awesome couple. Everything about them seemed real and not forced. They coming together of their story felt very organic to me. You could tell they were meant to be together.Christine has been in lust with Tyler, her good friend’s brother, since losing her virginity to him in Mexico 8 years ago. But he hurt her.Eight years ago in Mexico, Tyler felt something for Christine but was afraid to admit it, even to himself. They are joined back together at Tyler’s sister, Kady’s, wedding. And there is still something there. Christine has a list of things, sex things that she wants to do while at this wedding but never imagined wanting to do them with Tyler. Until she sees him again. That spark, that connection is there. They have their ups and downs. The sex is hot and so spontaneous. It seem to catch them both when they least expect it.I love how they fight. Both with each other and for each other. I really have to say, this coupling makes so much sense. You can tell from the beginning, just how much they need to be together. As a reader, you can tell they are soul mates. It’s pretty cool. And even though its very quick, it still totally works. This is the first book I’ve read of Diane Alberts and I completely loved it. And I can’t wait to read more.~Katie
