Was it quarter after six in the morning or afternoon? This time of year, it was hard to tell. Rolling onto his back, he caught movement out of the corner of his eye—Trev, shifting around but still sleeping. The whole crazy night suddenly came back to him. Sex with Erica. Sex…period…for the first time since the accident. Yeah, but with Erica—Trevor’s girlfriend. Who was nowhere to be seen. Feeling a nearly uncontrollable urge to shake Trevor awake to talk, Colin instead took pity on him. Trevor had just got back from a long trip too, coming from the other direction. Smiling a little at his comatose brother, he pulled the covers up over him and went to take a long, hot shower. The night before he had barely rinsed off before collapsing into bed. Trevor had told him his flight would be getting in late and had joked that whoever got there first got the bed. So when Colin had arrived at the condo before Trev, he’d taken him at his word and had sleepily commandeered the bed. Colin had just wrapped up two nearly consecutive year-long stints overseas.
