This book seriously shouldn't have taken this long to finish, but I got so caught up with everything and I wanted to make sure I read it while I wasn't thinking of other things I had to do. I absolutely loved this book because it was similar to the other types of books I love to read but it was dealing with a girl who had nothing from the day she was born. I was sort of iffy on reading the other two, but this one left me on a little cliffhanger. So now I am going to have to continue this series because I am dying to know what happens with Lucian and Evelyn(Scout). I received a print copy in exchange for an honest review from Berkley. Falling In is a part of the Surrender Trilogy and is the first book in the series. I am glad I started at the beginning because I can't imagine trying to begin the next book at the mid point of where it semi ended. Although there technically was a decent ending there are quite a few hooks in the story left open so I'm assuming those are carried over into book two. Falling In for me really felt like a mix of the movies Maid in Manhattan and Pretty Woman without the prostitution or the kid. Its a great story, I really enjoyed both the main characters Evelyn and Lucian and I really enjoyed them as a combo double punch because they play off eachother so well. I liked getting to see Lucian "wake up" so to speak and I really liked getting to see Evelyn as she finds her way from the streets to finding her way through life and love.
The heroine went from tough and self efficient to completely dependent on the hero. I didn't get it
