One person's dream can inspire others. Will Allen can see what others can;t see and he share his vision. Will Allen grew up on a farm, but he became a basketball player. Helping harvest potatoes mad him realize how much he really did want to grow things. He decided that his mission is bring the love of farming and good food to everyone. His first labor was to create gardens in the cities to show people how good fresh food can be. This story is very inspirational and timely. Fascinating story of one man whose outside-of-the-box thinking revolutionized the way people thought of farming. Will Allen believes everyone should be able to enjoy fresh vegetables regardless of where they live or how much money they have. This would be a wonderful story to share with kids of all ages to encourage creating their own little garden and learn more about agriculture. I’m defiantly adding some of those remarkable red wiggler worms to my composter.
A fabulous call to action for kids to take an interest in good food and where it comes from.
