This book was extremely well written. I normally don't go for books that aren't action packed, but I'm really glad I picked this one up. Cat, the main character, is witty and easy to relate to. Her journey in this book is really interesting and kept me turning the pages. I didn't give this book a whole 5 stars though because I don't really enjoy how it ended. I feel like Robin Brande could have done a better job at wrapping everything up. All in all, I would recommend this book. Even though I could see what happened from almost the very beginning, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.Cat is a high school girl who loves her science...and her junk food. She's allowed herself to get a bit hefty, due to a bad diet and lack of exercise. A science project spurs her to change her eating habits -- eating mostly vegetarian meals and refusing to use any technological advancements in most cases. No cell phone. No car. No TV in her bedroom. (Except in what she deems as life-threatening situations. i.e. she will ride in a car at night.)After a while, she starts noticing that the pounds are melting off -- and she's not the only one. However, she kind of becomes stalkery in that she doesn't care for the attention of most of the guys -- just one, who used to be her best bud back in the day before his 7th grade mouth made fun of her behind her back. I can understand why she wouldn't go for either of the guys who shows her major attention, but at some point, you have to move on. Her main crux was she wanted a guy who didn't care about her weight.Turns out, she already had one and just had to figure out how to get him back.
