I'm a huge fan of Sam Crescent and for me "Fear The Boss" is not complet yet. Knowing he is very a dangerous man and a lot of people know him, they pretty much shaken up knowing they're gonna end up dead if you mess with him and Henry. I expect a lot more deadly actions to their enemies but Caleb became a pussy whip with Donna. So I think the suspense and bloody actions holds off back there. Looking forward to Henry and Lydia's story real soon 4 1/2 stars, OH YES, sometimes a girl just needs a crazy possessive hero who forces his way into her life and takes every advantage he can to keep her even if some might consider his methods a reason for a restraining order. And that man would be Caleb. Mrs. Crescent blew me away with this book, Caleb is without a doubt my all time favorite hero Sam Crescent has ever written. Hands down he is her most alpha, possessive, demanding, dangerous hero and I loved him(thats me singing my love).Caleb doesn't answer to anyone his only friend and the only man he has ever trusted and he work together as club owners and a whole slew of other illegal activities. When he is ready to drop one of his girls he stops by a jewelry store for a parting gift. There he meets Donna the sales woman and she is like no woman he has ever met, but more surprising to him than her beauty is that she tells him no.Donna can't deny that Caleb is handsome but she can also see he's dangerous. When Caleb won't take no for an answer Donna agrees to meet him at his club. Caleb can't get Donna off his mind and no other girl will do but when Friday comes Donna again proves to stand out among the girls who so readily throw themselves at him. Soon they find themselves intimate and Caleb makes a decision he doesn't completely understand but also can't deny. When Donna finds out she is furious and stays away from Caleb. But Caleb isn't having that and again pushes his way into Donna's life to claim the woman he wants. Soon Caleb and Donna are spending all their time together. But the life Caleb leads is a dangerous one with many enemies and Caleb and Donna will have to decide what they want most each other or the easy safe life. When I read Sam Crescent books I always expect a few things: a possessive hero who is also demanding, older who uses his power and strength. A younger woman who is innocent and a relationship that is passionate. But this book has set a new bar for future books to come. Donna was a great heroine yes she was innocent but she was strong and smart and stood up for herself. Caleb was amazing, I just re-read one of my favorite series ever(The Fever series) with one of the most possessive heroes I have ever read and sometimes that can almost taint the next book but Caleb stood all on his own and then some. I can't wait for book two in this series. We get a great glimpse into the characters to come and I can't wait.
What do You think about Fear The Boss (2014)?
An alright read. Would like to read the next book, Deadly Duet 02, about Henry and Lydia.
