Feel The Rush (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

First Impression:Heart breaking romance with a satisfying HEA .The Narration:While I enjoyed Abby Craden’s narration of The Valentine’s Arrangement I had to stop listening to the audio after a few chapters and switch over to the ebook. Why? Her voice for Reed wasn’t doing it for me. Craden does not do southern accents well and that’s one pet peeve I have since I’m a southern girl. It just took me out of the story too much. What I liked:What was a one night stand several years ago turns into a HEA. Meg and Reed had one hot night about 7 years ago. Then when Meg takes a chance in order to get a fresh start by moving with her room mate to a new town, her hot new neighbor is the one night stand she had 7 years ago. But Reed doesn’t remember her when they introduced themselves. And ouch that hurts a girl’s ego. Meg and Reed become friends even though Reed wants more, not that Meg doesn’t. But Meg is looking for Mr. Safe and Reed is anything but safe. He’s not ready to settle down. But their attraction won’t go away. The more time they spend together getting to know each other as friends the lust takes over. What I didn’t like:30 is a little too young to have your biological clock screaming at you. But I can see why Meg would want to stop the one night stands and casual dating to look for something serious.Meg trying to break things off with Reed twice. At her age it was a little too angsty, IMO.Last Impression: Epilogue is swoon worthy!!Will I continue this series:Yes. I have the novella, Pretending She’s His on my Nook and book 3, A Beautiful Distraction waiting on me from Netgalley.Would I read this author again: Yes. I saw on Kelsie’s website that she’s working on a new series. I’ll check it out. 4.5 out of 5 stars!I received an uncorrected proof of this novel via the GoodReads giveaway, which I am incredibly thankful for! It was my first experience with Kelsie Leverich--but I can guarantee it will not be my last. I truly adored this story. It has everything you could want in a good book; romance, sexiness, humor, heartbreak, soul mending. Toward the last half of the book, the author put me through so many different emotions that I felt like I had been through the ringer twice. At times it was devastating, but it has a good ending...and that is what I'm all about!I could easily pick this book up and read it over again--it was THAT good. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
