This is indeed a good read. It is almost like Twilight and The Chronicles of Narnia had a Book baby. Star cross lovers and the secret world make for an interesting book. the author has no problems painting a beautiful picture of the surrounding areas. most characters were very well described also. I feel like the main character would be easy for any teenager to relate to. there were a few sentences that read strangely but besides that it is a great quick read or would make A great gift for any teenager or young adult This book started off what I believe was slow. And I thought, "This isn't going to get my interest is it?" Then again that was on the fifth page. I didn't even realize the moment I was absolutely hooked. It just snuck up on you. And the thing is, that it's impressive. The book didn't have to try to grab your attention. Your mind is just immediately drawn by it. This is a completely original book. Original Ideas. And a whole new universe rich in beauty and culture. A.B. Whelan digs in depth to paint a picture and give the readers an idea of the universe of her own making. Molly's character is an odd one. She's weird and not very sociable, but i guess she was drawn to weird when she found a whole freaking planet named Arkana! Well, discovered it with Arkanians already inhabiting this gorgeous place. But Molly changes. She becomes more daring, more determined. I could go on for days picking and picking at this book and analyzing everything bit by bit. But alas, there is a limit to characters I can use on these reviews and I shouldn't make this review TOO drawn out. And the romance between Molly and Victor is quite complex. From the instant and undeniable, electric attraction between the two, to the deep, unconditional love it transforms into. It was an emotional ride indeed. And it filled me with all these fuzzy feels :)I can see this being made into a movie with TONS AND TONS of visual effects like Avatar or Life of Pi. Except the plot line is actually GOOD in this book, not like Life of Pi... but that's a whole different review in on itself. The ending of the book was.... Well I don't know really. I LOVED it. It ended on a sweet note, which made my heart swell and a sigh escape my lips. It tied things up in a neat bow. And yet it left you craving more. And even though it didn't end in a cliffhanger, there were unanswered questions. The ending was ingeniously crafted because it left you with the knowledge that the book is over and has ended, yet you know that because the book is over, the story, in fact, is not. And that's what I like about it. It did lack the thrill and frustration of a cliffhanger, but then again, with cliffhangers, you gamble a bit since you either love them or you don't depending on the book. There were some editing errors. Missing punctuation, a misplaced word, etc. But that didn't affect the book in any negative way. You just overlooked those small errors just to keep reading the book. I managed to catch that since I've always been trying to catch errors in my own writing. And even then it still fails. Overall. Five Stars. Congratulations. You wrote a damn good book A.B. Whelan
