World-building is a very hard task for an author. And when I first started reading this book, I felt I had walked in on a play mid-way through. I was confused and trying to put the players together with the 'rules' for the paranormals. But I have to say, I really liked Sadie and Jen and Elijah and Ben so I kept going. And as I started to understand the complex world and slowly what was happening, I got into it. I then I got swept away with Sadie and rooting for her. I also was left a bit unsatisfied at the end because there defintiely is more to the story and I felt it broke too fast. But I am interested enough to read the next one in the series. Okay, so Fierce Dawn really isn't that bad of a book. In fact it is actually a very easy read and is well written. A very huge plus for some of the books I have recently read that were free on my kindle. Unfortunatly, I couldn't give it a five start review because of a few problems I really couldn't overlook. For instance, why did Elija have to be such an asshole? I felt so bad for Sadie. She professes her love for him and then he turns around and says, you don't know what true love is, it's just your mortal feelings getting in the way. It's just lust that your feeling. WTF? Oh, and it's also because he has this magnetism thing so she's basically just spelled to love him. But apparently that still makes it okay to make out with her and fuck her Right? (sarcasm) And, of course, Sadie just goes along with it and lets him do it, keeps loving his sorry ass and stays around hoping that he will fall for her too. I just don't understand! Stand up for yourself woman! And yes he does fall in love with her, and we are all supposed to be so excited. Yay he does love her! But then he goes and does this weird magic thing that connects them FOR LIFE while they are fucking, and DOESN'T TELL HER. He even thinks he should tell her about it but then doesn't because he doesn't want to ruin the moment. Its like getting married only the bride didn't know about it. Who does that? But, yet again, she doesn't mind because she is so totally in love with him. Well isn't that nice. (again sarcasm) Okay done bitching.
What do You think about Fierce Dawn (2011)?
Just as good as Irish Moon....same author. I will be looking for more of Amber Scott's work.

Decent fast read. Predictable but had some hot scenes. Good for a rainy day.
